View Full Version : Suspiciously Simple Braided Bun

I swear I just braided it above my head, rolled it up, and stuck two sticks in. I didn't expect this perfection (https://imgur.com/a/klQ9cxq) and I'm afraid to try to recreate it.

That's perfect.

I know what you mean - once in a while I'll put mine up without thinking about it and it looks great and stays up all day, and then I can't re-create it the next day or even remember how I did it.

OMG perfection is the only word here. Thank you for the video, it is a pleasure to see.

You inspired myself to try this. Not as beautiful as yours, but I really like it as a high bun. I think I will use it a lot in summer, thank you :)

Yep, I bent at the waist to start, and then as I got about halfway, I stood normally and rested it on my head and finished braiding in front of my face. Then I tied it off and rolled up from the bottom and it kinda just, nestled into place? I put sticks in it thinking it would fall but it was so secure and comfortable and oh so lovely~ took like 3 minutes to do.

I tried one out later on yesterday as well. I have had the most success with this bun than any other I have tried without spin pins. Has to be one of my new favourites, if it continues to work well.

I tried one out later on yesterday as well. I have had the most success with this bun than any other I have tried without spin pins. Has to be one of my new favourites, if it continues to work well.

This gives me the courage to try it again! Will report back.

ETA: it doesn't work as well with two pronged sticks and it was looser this time cause my hair was dry, but it seems somewhat recreatable.
