This is the kind of thread I needed when I was searching for a new daily detangling comb, as the width between the teeth on combs we're considering is sometimes an important factor! So please feel free to contribute so we can build a thread for reference :)

Eternally in Amber scalloped wide-toothed comb (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=151497&page=2&p=3747380&viewfull=1#post3747380)
~ 1/4", maybe a little over
(If anyone wants to contribute a more exact measurement for this please feel free :D)

Hercules Sägemann Jumbo magic star rake (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/i8EAAOSwnRJbjo0F/s-l640.jpg)
~1/4" or 6mm between the teeth (tapered slightly so more like 3/8" or 9mm at the very widest part of the gap)

Hercules Sägemann Carbon saw comb C12 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016IY0592/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (not seamless)
1/4" or 6mm tooth separation

Sandalwood wide-tooth comb (generic)
1/8" or 3mm

I may be an outlier, but I found that the wider-tooth combs simply don't work for me. At least in wet-combing - they never penetrated my hair.

Are these meant for dry - combing? I just use a regular plastic comb on the wide-toothed end.

I don’t think you are an outlier, at least not to me haha. When I used to use a wide tooth comb in the shower I still had tangles the dang thing couldn’t get to. Now I use a tangle teezer and I don’t have that problem anymore. I also feel like fatter teeth in a comb makes it so that it doesn’t get all the way to my scalp, because my hair is so dense.

I’m following this discussion to see if I need to get a comb I can use wet, as I currently only have a wood comb I only use dry, when wet I use my fingers and the TT.
