I stopped using hair ties when I realized they were tearing my hair, and started using hair toys. I have a 2 year old daughter and have noticed a lot of hair on her hair ties as well. What hair toys are suitable for making toddler pigtails instead of using hair ties? Preferably something lightweight that would not irritate her into pulling it out. She has hair type 3 that is about 3” long. Thanks.

Could you use something like these bows (https://www.ebay.com/itm/40pcs-Boutique-2-Inch-Hair-Bows-Fully-Lined-Clips-for-Baby-Girls-Toddler-Infants/143153104394?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SI M%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D40719%26meid%3D229c7bfdeb764456 bc933bf90e17a15a%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D9%26rkt%3D1 2%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D174094507996%26itm%3D1431531 04394%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851)?

I was going to suggest little claw clips but then thought maybe the hair toys need to be "child safe", like no risk of choking on them?

scrunchies are super cute and satin/silk ones are less prone to tearing your hair, there are thinner ones, cause the average ones could look little too big for a little girl (still cute though)

I have a 2 year old with very fine wavy/curly hair and she is so rough on her hair. she eats it, twists it - you name it. she gets the foe safe ties twisted in her hair that I have to cut them out. she gets the velvet scrunchies stuck too but not the satin scrunchies - they are a win so far.

I have mini flexis and xs flexis that I use for her but she rips em out and tosses them so I learned, only in the house - they are too cute and pricey to lose when out and about.

I found these at my longs/CVS yesterday - buy 1g1 free. We used em yesterday and today and I like them - no catching on the hinge and if they get lost I won't cry. I do a little lwb on top then clip this around it and it holds.
