Pay careful attention, this is NOT the same as the L-finity, though it is quite similar in construction and very different in appearance.

You can also check out the thread on it. (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=147775)

Well, here's my first attempt. The bottom "heart" part looks the same as the pics in the thread, but mine has grown a giant blob on top.
But the end result is pretty and comfy.
I'm going to try with a fork later.

I don't usually try new buns as my hair is always too short to make them work, but I tried the Posh Bun and it's so comfy!! It stayed all day on freshly washed hair, I have found a new favorite! It looks very pretty as well.

I cannot see your pic AmaryllisRed, may I send you a friend request? :o

Thanks, Tatsu!
Sent you a request, Trees. :)
And same here. I've been grocery shopping with my crew and out in the wind and everything and this thing has held up rock solid with a single stick. I'm a convert!

Thanks :blossom: I really like the shape of the bun, I was expecting something similar to a figure 8 but it actually reminds me of the celtic knot bun, which I love but can't do with my length yet, so I'm so happy with it

Ooh very nice everyone!

My first go (blurry because my phone is incredibly fussy about lighting, but I liked how true to my actual colour it is): https://photos.app.goo.gl/VWUznr1VX2vV3i4U6

That fell out after laying on it, so I hastily redid it; here is that second attempt, messy after a couple of hours: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Aib6usLggVMdiQKC7

Edit: I need to watch the video again because I did it from memory, and I'm not sure if I accidentally added a twist in the finger loop :hmm:

Edit 2: yep, I wrapped it the wrong way over the finger, which would explain by bparnell happily uses a 4-prong fork and I was struggling to use a 2-prong - which I only attempted after using a straight stick hurt my scalp, so I switched to my narrowest toy with a head curve!
I do like that it ended up slightly lower than my usual buns without pulling though. Nice to change things up once in a while, though lower is Not Great with collars and scarves.

I tried this one as best as possible although I might've missed a loop/twist at some point. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo? It's definitely a very wide/spead-out bun and I had to use my longest stick. It feels pretty secure. It was sort of difficult to hold/manipulate all the loops, because my hands aren't that big.

This is the second time trying this bun and ...nada = almost instant slip out = I must be doing something wrong

The PHA bun holds like a rock :hmm:....I will position it like this one, fluff it out, and call it POSH :rollin:

The rest of you look very pretty though

And I applaud your achievement of this one in my lack :applause:

I Am impresses with your gorgeous hair and Posh buns, Spoons, I notice that those who use sticks create a very different look. I have never made this bun with less than a three prong fork I guess since that is the way it was done in the tutorial.

Why is this thread not listed on the "New Posts or Mane Forum?" I had to go hunting for it. Any way those who want to post a Posh bun can jump in here. The link for hairstyle of the month is:https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48

Aw, thank you :flower: I've done it a couple of times without the accidental extra finger twist and used forks, which I like because it gives me another option for using them instead of my usual LWBs! It is somewhat sturdier the first way I did it (accidentally modified), though in terms of the look I'm not sure which one I prefer. Nice to have options though! :D

Very cool! Guess I know what I’m learning today

I turned my bun a smidge to the right before sticking, so it could be more equally and horizontally heart shaped.

I’m feeling like the posh bun will be my new go to bun.

So...........I had never really considered making a Posh bun with a stick or even a two prong fork. I showed pictures of the thread to DH. He really liked Amarilyis one stick Bun, and several others So immediately getting jealous of her lovely thick hair I knew I had to try something. This morning I added some hair extensions for thickness and made this one stick Posh bun. DH liked it. I do too from the back.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49034804497_b0cdbdefbc.jpg
However I really do not like buns that stick out from the head. I prefer them to lie flat. this bun does not do that.
It does not show too much sticking out from the head in this pic. Guess I will wear it for DH. It is not as stable as with a fork that much I know.

I get the wrapping direction for this, the L-finity, and the Palmier buns all confused, but I think I made a Posh Bun this time:

I am so grateful to ThrowNormanAway for creating this bun and to neko_kawaii for starting this thread.

This is one of the easiest, fastest buns ever, yet it looks incredibly complicated (almost like a challah bread!) and is very secure.

Hoping to spark more interest in this lovely bun here is another Posh Bun with self made fork. I have been doing this bun since about hip length.

what a nice fork you made!! I wish I had the talent to even attempt to make my own.

here's another one. I think because I don't have the length of you ladies is why it looks so different on me but I'm liking it lots.

I have BSL baby fine hair with Houdini tendancies. I never thought that I could secure a Posh bun with a stick instead of a fork, but I discovered today that I can.

All I have to do is get the tension right and use a chunky stick like a Lady Idun acrylic. It held like a rock through my workout at the gym and errands. :)

On this, the last day of our Posh Bun-niness, I tried it again and it came out like this:

https://i.postimg.cc/1XR3sxSf/Posh-bun-2019-11-30.jpg

I think it's a little closer to what it's supposed to look like. Uncooperative gray hairs aside, I really like it! I took a chance and wore it out to an all-afternoon social event, and hours later it still looks the way it did when I first put it up. This has been a fun thread.

Succeeded on my second try of the evening. I needed to pull out my thumb loop further and use all my fingers in the second loop to make them big enough. I seems to be staying but it pulls a bit uncomfortably on my scalp. Its very big and fuzzy. I might try again latter with a braid and see if it is more comfortable.
