Share your Power Hair!

My husband recently pointed out to me that whenever I have an important event or feel the need for a pick-me-up, my hair tends to get styled very big or very intricately. Maybe it's just me, but I have a suspicion that everyone has a special style that gets them pumped up. So, everyone show me your power hair!

I don't have a picture to share, but this is a great idea for a thread and I love your power hair, SwanFeathers!

Power is stored in long hair, for sure. Often I will put my hair in two plaits for travel, and unravel it to enjoy my long flowing braid waves when I arrive. This makes my 1b hair more dynamic.

My go-to for special occasions or just to feel pretty is a rope braided side bun (or rose bun), preferably with some flowers. (I guess it makes me feel better to be real girly? But I also feel prettier when you can see my hair from the front.) My avatar shows what I'm talking about but I'll see about actually posting a picture later.

Great idea for a thread! Your power hair sure does exude power!

For me its fluffing out my curls with a hair pick and going as big and full as possible. If I am going out to dinner with friends or heading to a bar with DH and friends, this is what I usually do; style it as big as possible so it has enough personality of its own for people to leave my actual personality alone :thumbsup:. Just kidding but it somehow does seem to have that affect.

Woah your beard grew so amazingly long! I will have to show my DH as he JUST got rid of his beard after 4 years of growing it long. He is still a big fan and admirer of long beards.
Its actually really funny but it seems like all long beards are in a secret greeting club lol. My husband would often receive compliments for his beard from other beard growers and if not, he would most definitely compliment someone with an epic beard and they would typically share a comment or two about it and move on lol.

The beard nod is exactly that. A nod. It's usually subtle.

One beard acknowledges the other, as a part of the brotherhood. Some do it as a traditional nod by tilting the head down, some jut out the chin instead.

And whenever two beards meet, kinda like when you're driving, the bigger beard is usually given the right of way.

For most of us it's not anything more than instinct. It's a guy thing.
