View Full Version : does wearing a baseball hat cause damage?

Hi everyone! Pretty much what the title says; I have to wear a baseball cap for work, and I work a full time job 5-6 days a week. My curly hair is currently too short for a full ponytail (but it's almost there!), and I've noticed that after a shift the top is frizzy and stretched out.

I'm wondering if this is damaging the top of my hair? If so, what should I do to combat it? I already oil with jojoba every night; should I add more before work? I figure that I am still in the awkward phase of growing out, so I'm less concerned with how my hair looks, than with how healthy it is overall.

Thanks for any advice!

Can you sew satin into the inside of the cap?

I hadn't considered that! I probably could, though I'm not a sewer

Anything protective can be lined in the top of the cap. Whatever you feel suited to your needs.
