So, Overtone. It’s heavily advertised on social media, almost so much that I’m doubting it like I doubt Wish . It’s a coloring conditioner in a tub, and now comes in black. It comes in unicorn rainbow colors too. I’d be using the black, in lieu of hennindigo, and my hair is naturally blonde. The only problematic ingredient is amodimethicone. I am not adverse to cones, but have recently fallen into a good routine without them, since I discovered leave in conditioners when used correctly, don’t weigh your hair into a greaseball.

Lets hear your experiences with Overtone!

I have no experience but I too am really interested in Overtone and their new more natural colors! I have a friend who’s used the deep conditioner before and she said it made her hair feel amazing.

Melanie from the YT channel MrKongsMom uses (a type of brand that I can't remember, hang on while I look it up, will get back to you), it is a sort of conditioning "tint" as well. Maybe look that brand up too. You can see her use it (on her fully gray hair) in her videos. I think if you go to her channel and look at the thumbnails, it should give you a pretty good idea.

Here's her channel:

ETA/ she mentions it here - it's called KeraColor

She has experience with Overtone, the purple one. Apparently it colors and stains everything around it, so beware:

Thank you! It sounds like she likes it though. And yes, That looks messy. Henna and indigo are messy, and a session of that usually prompts a bathroom cleaning.

I happened across this lovely young woman’s reviews of Overtone, and her hair came out a luscious black. She stated her starting color at the roots are light, so this may be something I try.

It looks like this product may be similar to manic panic and punky colors kind of semi-permanent dyes.

My hair is naturally dark blonde and I remember when I used semi-permanent black (of the above-mentioned brands) it was fading an ugly greenish color after just a couple of washes.

Since its not a strong dye and is like a conditioner, if I was you I would just try it out and if the result is not satisfying, you can always just continue with henna and indigo..
