Is there anyone here who uses a comb attachment/hair drying brush with an attachment? Even on the cool setting? Would the repeating brushing with air be damaging or would this be a reasonable way to dry/straighten hair?

This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Kiss-Products-Detangler-Dryer-Attachments/dp/B01JPX05LG/ref=sr_1_31?keywords=kiss+blow+dryer&qid=1553963848&s=beauty&sr=1-31

I feel like the comb rips my hair a bit.

So I've been thinking of buying this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0799Q3MB8/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=ALFHHG043SYDE&psc=1

Just for days where I want my hair to be straight and easy to put in buns and such. Any advice is appreciated...

I have the Conair version, bought years ago ....unsure if it is what they still sell.

It worked great on my F/M silvering Chin length hair.
I used it to finish styling when my hair was mostly dried, and it smoothed/curled my hair nicely with no damage (it wasn't too hot).
I think I also used heat protectant first :hmm:

Mine had a brush like the one in your pic, but also a hard plastic bristle one that I preferred, as the other tended to tangle in my hair.
Plus the bristle brush was smaller, and I needed the larger size for the look I wanted.

I would use it again if I was shorter, and as long as it isn't too hot it may work well for you (I am unsure re: your personal texture).

Oh no that one is terrible (the first & second one).

I'd get something like this:

And there's YT reviews on it too!

I've never seen that version (I wasn't looking lol)...but that is interesting.
It would be good for smoothing, but for curling the ends on shorter hair I would stick with my Conair round brush in a pinch.
I never had damage from it and I used it for years, even as my hair became more fine/wispy with more silver coming in.
YMMV ;)

ETA: I Haven't used round brushes of any kind since I was @ WL....I had a tangle scare once :tmi:
My hair is so fine/wispy now being mostly silver that I won't even risk it (maybe if it was short again).
