Belated Hair Anniversary [7 years at LHC]

I was meaning to do a hairversary a couple of weeks ago, since I joined February 24, 2012, but it got a bit busy, so here is a late post!

Honestly, I feel a lot better with my hair after looking over pictures from the past several years. I guess that it is starting to look a lot healthier and not as frizzy at least. :-D

Thank you so much!! :flowers: Do you mean from my picture back in 2014 when I trimmed back? I think I lost half of my thickness back then; it might have been from all the stress I was going through during college and some family situations, then I also had thyroid issues. My hair is much thicker again now though. :) My last two most recent pictures that I took today might look thinner, but that is only because they are still wet after coming out of the shower. xD

You've always been such a big encouragement here for me! :-) Those pictures are probably the healthiest examples of my hair and most accurate representation of the color too. :-D My hair was so porous and frizzy before, so I guess it has improved a lot. :-)

Aw, thank you so very much! :flower: I have tried a lot of different things over the years, so I'm not sure if I can really recommend anything or not, since I am not sure I have found what works for me yet. I have tried cone free, sulfate free, curly girl method, loads of conditioner, etc. etc. over the past few years, but I have always struggled with my hair. Currently I am doing water only, with the occasional bar shampoo and ACV rinse and I find I like the results a bit better than all the previous things I have tried. I also do oil my hair every day almost. I haven't been doing the water only for more than two months yet, so I guess time will tell if this is a good method or not for my locks. xD I am lazy and although I would prefer finger combing, I mostly use a tangle teezer and occasionally a fine tooth wood comb to get all the lint out. I think the biggest thing with curly hair is patience, because sometimes it feels like it takes FOREVER to grow long!! But it happens, it is just hard to tell because it likes to curl back up so much it never feels as long as it is!
