Last night I was playing around with my hair attempting to do some buns (and mostly failing) when I made up a bun off the top of my head.
These were the steps:
I started by separating my hair into four sections - as if making a 4-strand plait.
I joined the 1 &3 and the 2&4.
These two sections I held like you start a disc bun.
I then started by pulling the left sections over my hand (again like a disc bun) but rather than pulling it around fully I stop once it's over my hand.
I then started on the right section and pulled it over.
Continued alternating until all my hair was up.
The ending is the most different as I had to use 2 sticks(and I think a fork would have worked better) rather than 1 (which is all I need for a regular disc bun).
There are 2 loops but they fall in a way that means that the bun has 3 parts.
The right loop I pushed the stick in vertically down before turning horizontally across the bun.
The second stick just went horizontally to hold the other loop.
Here are some pics from today and yesterday.

Yes, my sticks are pencils, I don't own any real ones
I put the second stick in differently today, don't know how that affects things.
What do you think? Is it new or am I just imagining things?
Oh, I'm also not 100% sure how necessary the 4 sections are, as mentioned I was just playing and today I repeated the steps exactly.
