Inspired by some recent threads, I thought it would be nice to have a thread for pictures of beautiful, actually thin (by definition, less than 2-inch circumference) hair to show that there is no such thing as 'too thin to grow long' or 'too thin to be beautiful' :)

I've not actually measured my circumference but I'm pretty sure mine is thin by this definition. Certainly for now. Poofy but compresses very easily.

My favorite styles involve braids. Today's is a double braid, gathered in the back. I'm channeling Ragnar, slightly, with the multiple back bands.

Need to purchase some leather laces, next!

Oooh I wish I had pictures of my mom with her hair down when it was still BSL+ with thick bangs. She always wore it in a bee-butt bun on the top of her head and got admired for it a lot! And it was firy red too! Very pretty.

Now it's between shoulder & APL and a light to medium blonde, so she won't have to dye as much (3/4x a year) with her white hair.

I was gonna post but I finally measured the circumference of my pony and I'm not as thin as I thought.

Yesterday I saw two women with hair longer than mine (I'm brushing hip) with what looked to be i thick hair (one braided, one loose) and both had gorgeous hair. I wanted to go compliment them but chickened out!

My mom just checked her calendar. She's i. It's been since October 22nd that she's washed her hair. She can go a month (at least) without washing. Next week she'll do it, for the festivities. And she has no flakes, just dry scalp. None of us can figure it out. :lol: And the thing is, it's not gross, it just looks like freshly washed hair. :shrug: Yeah, total mystery. Wish I had her scalp dryness!!! I'm oily/normal and so is my dad. Both of us have SD (seborrheic dermatitis). Anyway I find it odd how that works. :D

Wish I could put a picture here, but she doesn't want her pictures on the net. It is light to medium blonde (dyed because she's almost totally white/gray in back). And it is between shoulder & APL. In front (side bangs due to hairspray and it breaking off there) it is *very* fragile and thin and wispy. She wears it in a peacock twist all the time and has to be careful for scalp "cleavage", so she combs it really well once it's up.

Fantastic thread and pictures. A good friend of my mom's, who I've known my entire life, has i hair that she wears from TBL-FTL depending if she's trimmed recently. I've always thought it looked like fairy hair :)

Heres my hair, I took a few pictures, i touched my curls a little bit but this is from today, got out of the shower about an hour or 2 ago. I also brushed it for the picture and took it in different lighting. I think after I brushed it, my hair may look thicker in the picture than it really is... I probably should of took a side picture to really show how thin it is. I recently just started the WO. Sorry if the pictures are really big....

Hi Dee, you can download Fast Stone Image Viewer, it has a resize function and you can make your images smaller with. It is a really cool little image viewer program - highly recommend it for windows pcs.

Also, your spiral curls are similar to mine, but mine are looser. Very keen to see how you progress as your hair grows longer.

I think her waves are making her hair thicker than it actually is. :ponder:
Though i think her circumference is at least two inches.

I was one of the people that believed fine hair cannot grow to waist.

your hair looks really soft and healthy! Is this the longest you’ve ever grown it? You might find it thickens up a little more as it grows, mine did (I also have thin hair). But thin hair looks just as nice in my opinion. We have less to worry about ;)

I tried to find a thread similar to this one for the 2-2.5in crowd (https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=146590) but came up empty.

I saw a couple lovely, dainty ponytails in the thread titled "show me your circumference," but I'm looking for some pics, particularly of long hair with a similar thickness to mine.

My hair has a circumference of just a touch under 1.75in today with all hairs in the ponytail (my hair is finally just long enough to manage this, and I don't have bangs or face framing or stray babies at the nape of my neck). Of course I've been discouraged from growing it out, though I've had it to BSL and MBL in the past. I'm determined to grow it out anyway.
