allergic to egg wash

I did an egg wash last week that left my hair shiny and silky. It didn't dawn on me that my body wouldn't like egg on my face any better than in my stomach. My eyes ran all day long the next day and my sinuses were horrible. :doh:Just thought I'd warn of the possibility.

If you had that reaction you're probably allergic to eggs in general. I would do an allergy test to be safe.

I rarely eat eggs, but know to eat them with some DAO enzyme to minimize a reaction. It's a mast cell issue, not a true allergy, but I still try to avoid them. My allergy tests are always clean. Was so glad to finally find out why I seemed to have allergies anyway!
