volumizing for slippery hair

Hi. I've read for awhile, but this is my first post. I leave Saturday for an out of town wedding. I had planned to use cassia on my hair today, but won't have the time. Any other suggestions? I'd like to do a partial updo, but doubt it would work after my recent egg mask. Because of

I haven't entered the basic hair info in my ID yet. It's barely BSL, fairly thick with fine hair.

I forgot to add. I'll need to wash my hair sometime before Sunday. Because of the way my CPAP mask flattens my hair, I'd prefer to wash it Sunday morning.
