Hip Length by Christmas 2019

Am I severely overlooking something or is there not a Hip Length thread for 2019? If you see it then point me in the right direction please! Otherwise, let’s get the ball rolling here!

I had to perform a major cut this past summer *cries real tears* but now that my feeling are done being hurt I’m ready to leave WL forever.

So, for anyone out there who is trying to reach hip length as well, what time next year do you think you’ll make it? And what’s your ultimate goal? I’d love to see how you guys progress.


Side note: I realize that some women consider waist and hip to be the same thing but they are VERY different markers on my body. “Waist” for me is where my waist cinches (basically at my belly button) and “hip” is where my actual hip bones can be felt.

I am with you :)! I recently had a big hop to the bottom of my shoulder blade :cry:, to get rid of all my damage. My hair grows relatively fast, so I hope to reach waist length ,were my waist cinches, by Christmas 2019. I am ultimately trying to reach classic.

No, I don't think there is a Hip Length Thread on here yet. But you're right since there isn't one we can get the ball rolling here! :)

Awwww, I'm so sorry that you had to perform a major cut this summer. I'm sure with time next year you will reach Hip Length! I am shooting for hip length summer of next year. I've also heard from others that waist and hip length is the same thing. I totally disagree with that like you do. Hip Length on my body is 18" on me, and waist length is 16", and I'm short (5ft 3). I also have a short torso. So, I'[m with you here! :D

I'm with you! I think I'll likely hit hip sometime in the middle of the year-ish, but I know it'll change some when I trim at the start of the year! I might also join the BCL 2019 thread if I can find it.

I’m in! :cheer: one of my 2019 goals is reaching hip, I’ll be there by the end of the year fingers crossed if I take care of my ends and don’t trim.
Right now I’m way past midback, will be at waist by March or so I guess.

Hmmm....if I'm really good about not over trimming I may see hip length by Christmas 2019....my official goal for next year is waist but I'll admit it's more of a conservative goal because I'm already past BSL and waist isn't too far away.

According to my calculations, I may reach hip length stretched by next Christmas. It really depends on if my hair keeps up an average growth rate. Right now I am at "Can I call this BSL?"

If I don't actually get there, I will at least be in the neighborhood. So, I will join this thread for motivation. Hip has always been a favorite length of mine.

I actually have no idea how much my hair grows on average, but I'm at waist annnnd so I think hip by Yule 2019 is likely? I was just past APL January 2017, with a few 2" trims along the way, so.... maybe that's an indicator.

I think a year is plenty of time to go from one length to another so we’ve pretty much got this, y’all. My calendar says that I’m due for a trim today which is perfect timing, honestly.

How a self-trim became a suitable Christmas present for myself, I’ll never know.

I cut 5 cms this year so i’m still not at hip
