Been awhile since I did a check in so hello ladies!

Current Progress/Strategies:
Still have not trimmed woo! However I failed my "braid everyday for 3 month" challenge (sob), but have wore my hair in a lazy wrap bun for 2 months or more every day other than wash days. Wash days My hair is too "POOF" to get it it to sit in a LWB with a wooden chopstick so those are my days that I let my hair just breathe a little. So I have been wearing it in a good relaxed style at the very least. Nothing too tight, no elastic's or scrunchies. Just the chopstick (since I haven't been able to buy a real hair stick yet. Hey it works right? And its a designed chopstick so its cute!)

For monetary reasons I had to go back to regular shampoo rather than the natural shampoos (yuck) but it doesn't seem to be affecting growth or causing damage so that is a plus. In fact I am really surprised that I have NO split ends right now since i haven't trimmed since May 2017.

I am 10 months heat free. No straightening, no hair drying, just natural hair all day every day and my hair feels so much healthier. Honestly It does.

I have been successful so far in refraining from dyeing my hair. My hair kinda goes from my natural dark brown/black to the red from before I stopped dying. Part of me wants to give in just a little and touch up the red in the already dyed parts, but I will not let any dye touch the fresh natural virgin hair. At the same time I know I probably shouldn't dye my tips but I miss my red hair a lot so the temptation is real. I made a deal with myself that if I make it past Christmas with no trims/heat/etc I might treat myself to a gentle touch up on the already dyed portion. (Please someone talk me out of this.)

I think my last check in here was June so Ill post a June Photo, and a photo taken this week (october). So that about 3-4 months of growth.

I think your natural hair is gorgeous. Why not join the hair dye out thread, lots of support there and you can put your progress pics there too.
