Just curious. If you can give me ideas.

When I can't be bothered, I'll french braid my hair back then fold the length of the braid up and secure the folded hair with a series of silk scrunchies. You can fold your hair a few times depending on the thickness and tightness of the braid and it'll deduced your length significantly.

I don't think there's any other hairstyle that can compete with this:

Well, simple buns or braids that are fastened around the head or similar sure makes all the length go away :p Basically all updos take away most if not all of the length, but if you mean that you still want some that hangs down, I suppose the video linked above is a good example, else there are those that make a bun and then have the ends exit it as a pony tail, there you can really adjust how long you want the ponytail to be.

I'd say most buns that you can wrap the ends around, like the Spock bun and such. Or that crochet braid up above, that's amazing!

Agreed. Crochet chains absolutely gobble length. Never found anything else remotely close.

When you are knee, even, you can do a simple English braid low at the nape, and double it, pin it high up on the head; it doubles up the length like that, and the braid eats some length too.

I do 2 braids close to each other, similar to pigtail braids. Then rope braid the braids together. If you do 4 or 5 strands for the first braids and/or make the rope braid tighter, it will chew up a lot more length; but even 3 strands will pull a good chunk up once in a loose rope braid.

3 strand braids in a relatively loose rope pulls classic length braids up to about hip+.

I also first thought of the crochet braid, but this one is good too :)

The crochet braid is by far the most length eating braid I have ever tried. For me it does cause tangling from rubbing against my back though. I tried a french crochet braid and that works great as one braid in the middle or two with the ends up into a bun. I am curious what a minimum length would be for this.

I could do it with fine thin hair before classic, but I expect thick layered hair might need more length.

:agape: WOW! That ate up an absolutely incredible amount of length!! That's what, a quarter (or less!) of your hair's actual length?! Amazing.

Absolutely! You would never guess how long it is if you saw it up like this :)
