Hi All!

I haven't posted in a while, but here I am today with a question about my current hair length. So I washed and air dried it last night as usual, and this morning I took some pictures to check the length. As far as I know, HL is at the top of the hips, right? If that's so, it looks like I might already be there.

Edit: First link didn't work so I put it in again.

Yeah, it looks like the longest locks reach the hips.

The tips of your hair are touching hip length, so happy happy joy joy.

Thank you Ylva and spidermom!
I agree that it's just the tips, but I'll hopefully be at a solid hip length soon. I'm so excited!

Yeah, agree with everybody that only the tips reach hip length. Don't worry you'll be at solid hip soon! Oh, so happy for you! :D

Yup, hip length dry and wavy!

As an aside, when did you do your hairtyping? It looks like you have some spirals at the end of your hair, which makes me wonder whether you're wavier than your stats :hmm: Regardless, your hair is beautiful!

Thanks everyone for your kind replies - I appreciate it!
MusicalSpoons, I updated my hairtyping today and it's hard to tell the exact texture. On top of my head it's almost perfectly straight and 1c through the lengths I'd say, but the ends vary between 2a/2b. The ends are only this curly the first day after a wash - by the next day they're almost as straight as the rest.
Oh, and my goal length is also beyond knee! Though it looks like you'll reach it MUCH sooner than me ;)

It looks like you "just" made it. So yes, I'd call it. Congrats! :D

You're welcome! I don't even know what my hair type is. All know that it's curly....lol Your goal length is knee? Mine is floor length or terminal! But I know that you'll reach knee before me :D

Thanks lapushka and Dark40!
Yes, I'm having a bad case of LHC-itis at the moment where I'm strongly considering lower calf length as my goal! (it's 150cm on me)
It doesn't matter who gets there first - as long as you're happy with your hair:) Happy growing!

It's easier to see it if you put one hand solidly on your hip bone for the pic, I'd say that you'd need a liiiitle bit more of lenght to make it, looks waist + to me... But once again, I'm not sure from those pics :) You are there or quite close in any case!

My example for a lenght shot (hip lenght), in case it could help:

Maybe it's the angle of the photos...it looks more solid waist. A little past. I called hip on me when it went past my belt buckle.

Lady D gave a good example.

Okay, thanks! I'll surely give it a little more time - it feels like I've been in the waist to hip abyss so long, I'm getting impatient! :)
By the way, I love your hair colour!

I was almost 1 year in that abyss, so I feel your pain! Even now I don't feel "at hip", and I've been there since late may

My color is just natural until the mouth though, I'm growing out dyes and henna: my real me is tawny. I'm glad that you like it anyway, I've got to live with it :flowers:

I think you'll be there really soon, may be another pic would really show where you really are :)

I personally don't consider it hip but technically it is. xD

I agree with Milady_DeWinter. Good example. I wouldn't call it solid hip either. I would call it solid waist a little past it.

Yes, I definitely consider your hair length solid hip.

I agree with everyone that I'm definitely not solid HL yet, but the ends of my hair are just starting to touch hip, which I'm very excited about! I'll wait a couple more months before I can claim solid hip :hmm:
