Thanks to a nearly straight canopy and ringlet curls beneath, I've started using foam rollers to give my canopy texture. Works great, even better as my technique improves, but sometimes I question if it's worth the trouble.

Today, for instance, I'm rather missing the times I kept myself razored bald.

But then I end up with definition like this, which blends with my curls so seamlessly, and it just makes me smile.

Aww, your hair is looking Really lovely.

I think putting all of that time and effort to grow it out only to shave it all off again would be truly a waste...

If my canopy matched the rest, it would be easier for me. The mixed hair type frustrates me, which is why I've started experimenting with curlers.

Me. Using curlers. Groan.

We've all had moments of frustration. I am no different.

I miss super-short hair sometimes. It's so easy! If I lived in a place where I could go snorkeling on a regular basis, I believe I'd go back to a pixie cut.
