So I never got around to doing this last year but I thought I'd make the effort this anniversary, especially since I have learned so much from LHC.
Two years ago, Aug 2016, I was pretty sure my hair was "already Long " but I wanted to reach my goal length of hip someday in this life. A Google search landed me here and my hair look like this...

The shadow makes it look longer, but I was impressed with how shiny my hair was after only a few weeks of CWC and oil pre poo.
I was growing out a lot of layers along the way and micro trimming for the 1st year. I also did a lot of no trim challenges for chunks of time while I waited for it to grow. After about 9 months I finally reached waist.

This was just after a ACV rinse, I need to do one of those again. Great for chelating my hair since I use well water.
By last August 2017, my one year LHC anniversary my hair looked like this...

however this shot was taken at an angle and made me look longer then reality. Because this photo below was taken 20 minutes before the one above...

And then came the long time lol. MBL was a terrible length for me and my ends were very scraggly. Microtrims helped a little and although healthy they didn't look good. But I let them grow until they reached hip, about 10 months later. My ends were wild, but I took this pic late May 2018.

Then I cut it two days later because I wanted blunt nice ends so badly. She took 3 inches but it looked better at last.

And today I made myself take time for pics, there's a breeze out today. I love the way you can see my black ice shine in the sun...

But that black top wasn't helping me photographically, so here's natural, and the breeze was still a blowin...

Last shot and would you look at that?

Looks like I'm back to hip after all! Happy anniversary!! Earlier than anticipated and I'm happy!! I think the thickness is moving down with my trim this year, but my ends are already beginning to fairy tale again. I'll learn how to deal, I'm sure.
Of course my goal length has changed and I would like to see if I can make it to finger tip some day, but let's focus on TBL in the here and now!
Thanks everyone for your help along bv the way, sending love and hugs and a cup of tea :grouphug:
