I've done one for my wedding, my hair was damaged then so I did it.
It lasts for approximately two months only then it gradually gone from my hair.
I had to use special shampoo and conditioner.
But it was really waste of money. It cost around 500$ but last only for few months. I will never think of it again.
I'm not sure about the type of keraten she used. I didn't ask.

If money wasn’t an issue would you recommend it?
My mom is a stylist so I would just have to buy the product

I have used kerasilk Twice in the last year. It was applied professionally at a salon. I loved what it did to the texture and manageability of my hair. However, as it washes out , it is now about 8 months since my last treatment, I am suffering a lot of breakage. I believe it breaks the bonds in your hair and then kind of glue them back with the keratin. As this washes out, it you have fine, weak hair, like me, it is left even more fragile. I have layers now, where I did not before. I colour my hair with henna. I will not have the treatment again and will learn to accept my natural texture.,

I don't have time right now to type up everything but I did detail how I do it at home with Goldwell Kerasilk on my blog here. I'll come back later and edit this post. And this is the big keratin thread if you haven't already seen it :) https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=130725

I believe there are a few bigger keratine threads on this forum:
https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=130725
https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=137996

If you do a search on the term "keratin", and choose "title only" you'll end up with various posts! Just FYI

After looking at other's experiences with professional keratin treatments, I'll think I'll stick with at-home keratin/protein deep treatments, like Hask or Aphogee

I would never get a keratin treatment done with fimeldihyde in it. The only way I would get one is if it's fimeldihyde free. I'm really not too sure how safe or healthy they are for your hair. I guess it depends on who is doing it for you.
