I used a box dye a couple weeks ago that went way darker than it should have. It wasn't fading enough so I headed to walmart for some color oops. They had another product, color prep made by the same company.
I really don't know what the difference is, I've not compared ingredients but I decided to try it. It works like color oops, shrinks the color molecules but it doesn't require a 30 minute rinse cycle. Leave on for 30 min, rinse, shampoo, rinse again and done.
It worked great and the smell is a lot milder than the original oops. Its more along the likes of a home perm but contains no ammonia. Its like a gentler, less stinkier cousin lol. I don't know how well it would work on a really dark color but for removing just a shade or two, it was fantastic.
