How do you contain your hair under a helmet where a hair fork will not fit?
i leave my hair loose and it seems to be ok depending on how my hair feels...
some days it tangles, some days it doesn’t. It’s weird.

Anyone else ride?

I just put my hair in a dutch or french braid.

I do 2-4 braids pinned or sewn around my head. If you have really thick hair, go for more braids as they will sit a lot flatter.

I wore it in a braid and put a hair glove over. https://www.hairglove.com/

I put my hair in French braids or two braided tails when I ride. We have a v star 1300 love it!

That is the coolest thing ever! Didn’t know about its existence.
I used to wear braids and some cloth to protect the canopy but now I should start worrying more about the length..

I have been wearing my hair in a regular braid starting at the nape of my neck. I have worried french braids might get too much friction with my helmet. I've been recently looking into hair protection for riding too and have come up with a few options but haven't tried any yet. The Diva Do looks particularly interesting because it would protect my hair from friction within my helmet as well. Kind of like a sleep cap for my helmet. I can see myself using a Diva Do sometimes and on other occasions a hairglove or wrapper. Not sure which yet.

I'm a guy. Short hair. Had a BMW F650 Dakar and a KTM Adventure 950 S. I miss the KTM, a lot. I sold it due to not riding it since having kids. I'll get another some day.

I see a lot of riders wearing a bubble pony.

I just have a little bike, but same helmet issues. I do an English braid, and maybe tuck it into a jacket. French braids have gotten too hard to do at this length on my hair. But I think a pony scrub might also work- never tried one.

I have also wrapped my braid in some leather cord or twine with the ends of my hair oiled to help with some protection. If I can, I tuck my braid in my jacket

I'm really glad for this question. It came up right as I've been deciding what to do with my hair. I had thought I might try a couple options and compare but after sleeping on it I think I'll just order a Diva Do.

My thinking is my current hair goal is 32" all one length and healthy. All friction and manipulation risks breakage and damage. Putting on my helmet causes friction, the wind is friction, tucking my braid into my jacket involves friction from every movement of my head and I realised last night my braid hanging out rubs on the base of my helmet and collar (so that eliminates the various wrap ideas).

The Diva Do seems to address my concerns. It appears easy to put on and off and should protect the hair within my helmet as well as my length by encasing it.

Fingers crossed it works as well as I'm hoping.

Oh my goodness. I love the pony scrub! Had to look it up as I wasn't familiar. Very similar idea to the Diva Do. I wonder which would be most hair friendly from a fabric standpoint? I think a pony scrub or diva do design made with a stretchy satin or silk would be about perfect. Kind of like a sleep cap or silk pillowcase for one's helmet.

I think it also depends on the style of helmet you have. But I really don't bother about damage when it comes to other things I enjoy. My hair is just going to have to take second seat. As long as it is mostly contained in a braid and tucked in my jacket. I really don't care if I get tangles, some breakage or whatever.

But I might get a Diva Do just to wear lol they are so cute!

I've used the wrapter before. It's a pain in the ass and I can't in good conscience recommend it. You're also putting it on contrary to the direction of growth, so there's really no way to put it on "correctly" and have it not mess things up unless your hair is braided, and putting it on the other way round is also a no go.

I really like the diva do, but i wish the "prints" and colors were different.
No color really catches my eye, might as well buy a cheap do rag from the beauty supply store.

I am a male and a huge motorcycle freak :)
I wear a low bun or ponytail with multiple bands or a braid.

I've seen some other pattern options on Raci Babi's (the maker of the Diva Do) Facebook page. That being said I've messaged them and haven't heard back. So I dunno.

Update, I heard back from Raci Babi and ordered a Diva-do in a cute purple boho paisley. Excited to try it out.

Before I had children (and back when my hair was past BSL somewhere mid waist-ish) I used to put it in a braid and tuck it down the back of my shirt. Then with my dri rider jacket on over the top it would stay in place.

I also found i had less cat calling etc if people couldn’t see my hair (couldn’t tell I was female). In Australia people can be so sexist about such things. I rode to college every day and almost every day would have some kind of comment in the traffic or school car park once I got into the city. I loved hiding my hair haha.

Another biker here--I currently have a Harley Dyna and have ridden for about 30 years. My hair is down to my tailbone, and I think I've tried just about everything out there for hair. For me, the simplest thing is the easiest--I braid it and wear a simple cloth headband under my helmet (to keep the shorter pieces around my face in place).
I found the wrapter the worst option of all--you need a very tight ponytail and I just ended up pulling out way too much hair to get the whole thing in place.
Hairgloves can be difficult unless they fit exactly. I tend to have too much hair for them. Also, depending on the style and if my hair isn't braided, my hair can get caught in the snaps or ties and end up yanking out hair.
The Diva-do was a great idea but if my hair is loose its *very* hard for me to put on properly, and it has to be very tight to get it to stay. I've had them slip off during a long ride before, and I don't like the tightness around my forehead.

So... I just braid my hair. I tried helmets on when my hair is braided so they fit properly that way. Like someone said above, I'm more concerned about motorcycle safety than hair damage, but honestly when I braid my hair and wear a helmet I don't really get any damage. I try and arrange my wash days though for days I ride! ;)

Not a motorcycle rider, but I do ride in the truck with the window down? When my husband and I were dating he had a convertible which we always had the top down on.
