Just received my gorgeous hair stick from Woodberry Art

https://forums.longhaircommunity.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31943&d=1527885279

It's 5" long and too short for me. I mean it holds, but it's very messy and the last 2 or so inches of my hair isn't in a bun. It's perfect for wearing around the house, but I need something longer if I want to play with various styles.

I'd like to request a custom order, but not sure what length I should ask for? My hair is BSL now, and if 5" isn't enough at this length, and I plan to grow it to waist (another 5" or so) should I request 6.5"? I'd like the very ends to show, maybe a 1/4"-1/2" on each side as the stick is a beautiful color.

So should I request something even longer? 7"??

We can't see your transaction link, nycelle.

My hair is far more tapered than yours ~ if it's having a mind to floof, a spiral 6.5 is just long enough; my 7s will show up a lot better.

Thanks, I edited my post and put up the pic.

7" huh.. I was thinking maybe that's too long for this particular style? Then again.. hmm..

oh, 7 might be long. My spirals are ketylos (https://img.etsystatic.com/il/5324b4/750437715/il_570xN.750437715_jis2.jpg?version=0), or like a candy twist (https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b5/49/43/b549436cd6b5cc230b4c96e74c898489.jpg), I've never had one of those open ribbons. It's gorgeous though; try a half-up!

If you're wanting to show it off, go seven. Wurley hair can eat sticks, and if 5 isn't enough for bsl, seven may barely hold waist.

Maybe you should measure your bun circumference as it is now and then add an inch or two onto it to account for the extra length you expect and see how long the stick needs to be.

Thanks everyone - I went with a 6.5" screw stick in zebra wood.
