The volcano hair is glass fibers. It really does look like hair, at least in still photos. :)

I thought "this article is perfect for LHC". We are the nexus of all things hairy. :rockerdud

Up until now, I had been aware of long hair only on animals and plants. This is the first time I have seen long hair on minerals. :cheese:

The most impressive aspect is how much ground the volcano hairs cover. My shed hairs could never cover that much. :thudpile:

Maybe not at the moment but looking at the ball of sheds next to me it will be possible when my hair's longer!
