This just arrived today, my new fork from TempestMoonStudio on Etsy. I was worried that the copper might not look good with my hair, but to my surprise, I think it does :)

The bottom one is a U pin, and it’s very lightweight, so I ordered like twelve of them.
The next one is a purchase from a member here that they got from Lilia rose.
The blue and green acrylics are from Etsy and I love them. They add a pop of color to my buns.
The top on is from Amazon, and I think it’s got little Zirconium jewels towards the top . It’s a bit heavier than I’d like, but it’s very sparkly and cute.

I’d like some TTs, or LadyIduns, or WEIIs, but they’re too heavy for my fine tresses. Maybe I can get a speacial order done, but I’ll have to save up for that.

The first one in the left was my first purchase about a month ago... Never knew forks existed for hair until I became a member so thank you lhc! The next 5 are from MD Wooden Art (https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/MDWoodenArt) ( I'll tell you guys about them in another thread!) just received last week!
The very large square fork my DH made me! It's one of my fav, I like the weight of it. He made it for me last weekend.

When mine gets like that it either gets braided and bunned or a Log Roll. Both of those are like a Straight Jacket for hair. That's what it gets when it misbehaves :rollin:

Assuming that's your natural color on your scalp hair under the bun, I think the fork will look even better on your natural hair color. Such a nice warm brown.

Here's my VojkoArt deer antler 2 prong fork (https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/613553974/hair-chopsticks-hairdressing-hair-stick?show_sold_out_detail=1&frs=1) that arrived last week, doing a fairly good imitation of tree bark. It's smooth, light, sturdy and has great bun-glide.

I wanted to show what my sister sent me, but it is not a Name brand we normally use. It is lovely
blingly and will be great for a wedding in Aug. I wore it yesterday for Mother's Day just to feel special. It is
actually a comb. However it construction allowed it to be used as a slide which is more secure.

The only store I've seen hair sticks and hair slides in, is in old town Stockholm and they sell "viking stuff", but I don't think that they have hair sticks anymore. At least not on their web store.

Hope they accept custom orders so I can get a bigger one in the future.

I will do this over a period of time since getting good action shots is hard sometimes. I will to start off with a stick I bought off of the swap board [my first time to do so]. It was from Aspensong: a UFO topper. It is thick in the stick and sooo smooth. I like it.

Thank you Ferel. It is a good practical stick. You can get two for $10.00 from Out Numbered Novelties. They are DIY finish which is very easy. Just sand them down and polish with tooth paste

Yes Lucy there is a thread. For years only wore toys I made and I made them in dozens. I gave away about one third of them sold some at fairs and have kept about half of them. Now I am enjoying the treasures of etsy.
