Have you used it and did you like it? What type of hair? How long did you use it for or are you still using it? Not the shampoo soap bar. But the liquid like normal.
I raise milk goats and am thinking I might like to make some if it's worth it. Thanks

I have mixed wavy wurly hair and have tried them as well as various forms of it, including facial soaps. They didn't suit me at all (was almost like I had an allergy to it). I felt it was very drying, all the forms of it. I tried it for maybe a month each time that I'd attempt it again.
However, my mom absolutely loved it, and has 1b/1c hair similar to you :) She liked it so much, she's been buying it for years now lol. I say it's worth trying it to find out :D

The very first shampoo bar I ever tried was a handmade goat milk poo bar a friend of my sister made. My hair loved it, and this was before I joined here. It was small, and didn't last long and I couldn't get it again. But that was my experience. Oh, and this was in a very hard water area (Florida).

Many use high amount of coconut oil which can cause that drying. From my research it is said not to use any coconut oil at all when using goats milk for hair. I do for my GM soap bars not meant for hair. But looking into liquid type sham and conditioner GM form.

We have hard water too. I already make GM soap. But want to do liquid poo and conditioner of GM. Will look further into it.

Yeah, as with most things, it's all a very YMMV experience :p

If you have the fresh goats milk, what about making yogurt from it and using that for conditioning DT's? Ok I really want to try that!!

I love it as a soap, but never had luck with any of the goat's milk shampoo bars.
I do love drinking it though and in cheese and yogourt, and ice cream.....mmmm. I just had a bowl of Goat yogourt right now actually!

We don't have this here, yes in a smaller store I've once seen them, but they were *mad* expensive, like 20 euro a bottle; no thank you.

That's something I don't get over here. I have found some makers selling what I would call too cheap. If you calculate in bottle and supplies not too mention labor. I think some here just buy a base and add GM too it then sell it. Anyway, I will look up if this is feasible for me to make for myself once to try. I don't trust others just for reason mentioned.

I think you could even make a soap bar with regular dairy milk, no? I mean, that would be super moisturizing too. I don't see why it has to be goat's milk in particular.

They are different! The protein and fat structure is different in goat milk than cow milk. Goat milk is naturally homogenized and has more sugars.
I think more relevant though is that from the first post, the OP said she raises milk goats, so it wouldn't make much sense for her to buy cow milk to make soap with.... She is looking for ways to use the milk she has!

Hmm, oh yeah... why did I read milk cows instead of milk goats? :o

I already make goat milk soap bars. But I am looking into the Liquid shampoo and conditioner. That's a bit different than the bars. I have been soap maker for 7 years now. :D
