I have posted about her before but I have just got to say it again..I LOVE my hair specialist!

If you don't know I found an Aveda salon back in May and started getting highlights and lowlights at the roots only instead of continuing to color myself. I have been very pleased and though you can see the gray some at the top I LOVE it.

Today she took my hair down out of my updo and said it was absolutely the healthiest hair she had EVER seen!!! I said, "What"? to make sure I heard her and she repeated it LOL! She had no idea how much that meant to me! I have worked SO hard for years to get it this way! The salon she used to work in was very upscale and this is also considered an upscale one. I am SO happy!!!

I'm so glad you love your stylist. Good ones are hard to find. When you find a good one, hang on :D I saw my Aveda stylist this past Wednesday and it was another good experience. I think the Aveda stylists have very good training and in my experience have an appreciation for good hair, whether it's long or short.

I really am impressed. When I said I didn't ever want any color pulled through to the ends, she said, "Oh I would NEVER do that to your hair". She is even fairly gentle in detangling after she does the toner. I cringe a bit at times but I don't think she breaks it, I'm just a little more gentle on myself. I know she is VERY happy that I never get her to blow it dry. The first time I went I did just out of curiousity to see if she could get it straight like the other salon I went to if I wanted it that way. Now she never says she doesn't want to again but I can tell she is relieved I like to leave it to dry naturally. I sure don't like their leave-in products though. Ick, it made my hair sticky and did NOTHING for it. I am taking my Biolage next time and my coconut oil!

I have the Light Elements Smoothing Fluid. It's coney. I get mine blow dried because I don't do it often at home and it's such a treat to have stick straight hair. I tried the Hang Straight but was not impressed with it at all. I gave it to a friend's daughter and she loved it. I love the Terax leave ins.

Oh okay. Mine cannot get my hair that way unless she uses a straight iron. I can do it straighter myself. I know what you mean about loving that straight thing once in a while. I love it too. Well I admit I haven't tried any of those but I don't really use cones much. I am not sure which one she used. I think it was a curly product though. It did like honey does on my hair just made it sort of dry and strawlike even. It did nothing for the curls and nothing for frizz. Weird. I like their color preserve shampoo though. One little bottle lasts me forever.

Ahw thats cool :)!
Mine are amazed at how easily mine detangles when they comb it, especially for long hair lol
it's nice to have nice hairdressers! ^_^

I admit it: I envy you for having found such a stylist!

Unfortunately I do live in a rather rural area (well to be honest I like to live in the countryside but there are disadvantages) - and do not have a lot of different stylists to try.

So far I have not found one I could trust, they all want to cut my hair of to give me a more youthfull look.

Well, I'll just try some self-cut method I think...

Curlsgirl you might like Terex leave ins. They aren't Aveda. Terax is the brand. One if "Life Drops" and the other has "Moisture" in the name. I don't think they have any cones. The ULTA that I shop at carrys them. Someone here mentioned the Life Drops and I've been very impressed.

I am loving my Biolage conditioning balm at the moment but I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!
