Hello All,
I know I haven't been very active since I joined here in March, but I'm working to change that! My hair journey started shortly after my birthday in October last year and by the time I joined LHC, I already knew a fair amount of healthy hair habits. But then I saw how much emphasis is put on protective hairstyles and stretching washes and I started doing it myself.
So here is the first new hair record: I wore my hair up for five days on end (previous record was three days). I didn't take it down to detangle in the morning or anything; I just kept it bunned all the time. It did feel a little weird to not touch my hair at all, like I got a buzz cut!
Number two: I went 11 days between washes. I used to wash my hair every third day, then when I joined here I started washing only once a week. I only washed it last night and I must say, eleven days are not that bad when you keep your hair up mostly!
Annnnnd the last one that I'm very proud of...my thickness has actually increased! It has to be from wearing it up so much; I almost never find shed hairs on my clothes or in my bed anymore. When I joined here, my ponytail measured a solid 3 inches, but compressed in a very tiny, pathetic looking braid so I never braided my hair. When I measured last night, it was 3 3/4 inches! I decided to do a braid again and I'm very happy with the results.
Pictures time! (I hope you can see them)

My better-looking braid last night. Surprisingly, it didn't shrink too much.

The ends are looking a little stringy from the oil I put on them last night, but I am almost at waist when entirely dry. I think I'll get there by the middle of July, but what do you guys say?
