I am being Medusa for Halloween and I have planned on braiding my hair in mini braids for the costume. But, looking at it, I think I should do something different. I was thinking maybe a braided beehive with braids hanging out or something but I'm not sure what I want. My costume isn't done but when I get home from school I can post pictures. Any ideas? It doesn't have to involve braids, but that was my original idea. Thanks inadvance!

You might braid some green ribbons into your hair and let the ends dangle out for "snakes".

You could also braid pipe cleaners into each mini braid (from the arts and crafts section). That way you could have all the braid sticking out in different directions. It'd probably work better from a pony tail or beehive.

I was thinking the same thing, mishka_84. I was going to suggest floral wire.

You could wire the, or you could make locks with ribbons, sort of like dreds of hair.

There's a lot of ways to do it. You could even get fake snakes and weave them into the hair somehow.

What about ringlets?
Maybe you could get some green hair color spray from the store? It can't be good for your hair, but it's just one day.

I'm pretty sure that we're going to have a few interesting haloween styles to show off. I wanted to start a thread for it.

I'm medusa...

haha it's hard to take a pic of the back of your head! anyways it's just a mess of "snakes"

I made rope braids then wound wire down them. Their heads are brown pipe cleaners. ^.^ and they have googly eyes!

That's not all my hair. I cut up some pony clip on pony tails in the same color as my hair. I didn't want to get wire stuck in my real hair, so they braids that are mine dont have wire and are pinned up.

It's pretty heavy!

Hope other people have some cool haloween hair.

Wow, that is incredible! I just made a hairstick that had black and red beads and copper owl dangles hanging down. I also made some earrings. Nothing fancy like your hair (are you going to a party???), as I"m hanging around home, but it is still so much fun! :D

Elainehali that looks awesome! Sounds like it's got a bit of weight to it so no wonder you think it's heavy. You've got to be the most awesome Medusa in ages. Finally some snakes for people to be in awe over instead of afraid of... Unless your hair bites. Then that's your own issue to deal with. :p

It is a hot and humid day here, so excuse the frizzy hair. :p

thanks for all the complements guys!

Unfortunatly I'm not going to a party I have to study =(

but I did wear my hair like that to work. I work in a small bakery.

It was pretty funny when coustomers didn't want to say anything on the off chance that's just my personal "style" I was wearing my usual work clothes...

That would be kinda embarrasing, "love your costume!"...."what costume?"

hahaha Thankfully most people knew it was medusa, and haloween...
