I was looking for a hair pin this morning and came across one of my old beloved Conair Velvet touch hair pins.
It is one of the last ones I had out of a package and was in hopes that the company would return to making more of these or another company would.
I have thin hair and these was a favorite hair toy of mine. Anybody else find anything as good or remember these hair pins?

Info removed: it was the wrong hair accessory (with the same name)

I haven’t tried those yet. The ones I’m referring to are the long u shaped hair pins. That looked like Amish pins.

That's what came up when I googled it... and I remembered from years ago.

Never seen those before. They don't sell them in Belgium, for sure. Never did.

Maybe you can still find them on Amazon or ebay?

They quit making them years ago. I have searched and searched but I guess i'll just have to settle for Amish pins.
I just liked these better because they don't tend to fall out of my fine hair so easy and they don't pull hair out like bobby pins do.

Oh, I don't remember those at all, but they look like they'd be *wonderful*! Maybe you can find some, it's amazing what is out there on ebay or etsy. Good luck!

I can't tell if it's similar with that picture, but are they like these (https://i.imgur.com/wOZzD5x.jpg)?

No they're covered in a velvetty material; to hold better in the hair.

Ohh I see. Hmm then I don't know. But I surely will keep an eye out for it. I am on Aliexpress and Ebay a lot so if I find it I'll pop a message.

They are similar but it has the velvet coating on them. Where are your pins from?

Can't you get them from just about any brand without the velvet coating on? :hmm: Sally's should have the plain ones, I think.

The ones I see usually don't have the little balls on the ends. That might hold better, i think?

That's odd. I would think stores like a beauty supply store only would sell the ones with the secured ends (those balls are for "scalp safety" - regular bobby pins have them too).
