Hi all! I'm completely done going to hairdressers. I've been trimming my bangs for years on my own. However not the length. I have been doing S&D this last year, but still had 1 regular trim several months ago. I'm changing my routine slowly, and oiling the ends, and switched to WCC, plus LOC. It is thicker, growing faster, stronger, but still suffering with the dreaded split ends. I'm thinking to do a micro trim, easier than search and destroy. I've been watching the videos and reading, but not sure which way to try. Ive BSL, curly 2c/3a/3b fine hair. I'm open to advice on any other cutting method too!

You don't want layers, right?

If not, then there is Feye's method. I typically waited until right before a wash, then I could brush my waves out (that had sagged quite a bit from the week), and then I did Feye's pretty easily on dry hair. Then I washed it, and it was *brandnew*!

Here's the link, BTW:

Undecided on the layers....I think I have some, may the bottom inch is layered. I don't mind them, but I don't know that I need them. Thank you for suggestions, I'm going to take the plunge one way or another this weekend :)

I've been doing for Feye's straight across trim, but using Emi's video for reference:

It's really easy to see what she's doing so it settles my nerves. Plus I like the song, I'll probably be singing it with made up words for the next week again now :D

Thank you! This is great! Seeing it with music is great! I stalled out and did not trim, instead was agravated looking at all the splits. I delayed washing even. I'm still not sure how I want to cut my hair. I know it has to be better than those horrible cuts at the salon, but I'm still unsure. Layers, no layers???? What to do....
