Hello everyone,

Around this time 7 years ago I decided to let my hair grow long, this is what I ended up with! Sorry for the darkness of the pictures, now that winter is drawing in light is out of the question.

Finally, this is a picture with my hair tied back and my new beard is here!

Thank you for sharing your photographs. That is some fabulous curly hair ya got there. My DH's best friend in high school had hair just about like yours.

Are you sure you're just a 2c/3a? Your hair seems curlier than that to me :)

Neil, I have extreme jealousy over your hair. I love the curl formation, the bigness and the color. Well the length too for that matter. It's awesome hair.

My daughter has curls like that and she hates them. I love them so much. Her hair is so soft while mine feels like straw compared to hers.

I imagine you have a brushing/combing regimen similar to hers? She brushes after washing and never touches it with a brush or comb again until the next wash or she becomes a poof ball.

I adore your hair. Mine is stick straight. My daughter wants my straight hair. I'd like to have her curly hair.

I think if my hubby had ever grown out his hair as long as yours, it might have looked very similar. He's got the wave, and twenty years ago he also had the color and the thickness. Lion's mane -- what a good description for a man's long hair!

Yes, my hubby's hair was one of the things about him that first caught my attention, even cut short -- I've trimmed it for him for years. Alas, he's never wanted to grow it long... though he did try out a mullet for a while back before they were universally dissed. :D
