ISO black sparkly things for (relatively) large bun and small budget

Normally when I look for hair toys I tend to gravitate toward bright colors, like spring green or hot pink, but lately I've been frequently finding myself wishing I had a black hairtoy; a lot of my sweaters have black in the design and I think a black hair accessory would look great with them :). Now, I could grab one of my wooden hairsticks and paint it black, but I want it to have some sparkle too (because shiny objects!!!), like faceted beads or glittery/shimmery acrylic or whatever.

I'm most interested in forks and XL Flexi-8s, but would also be happy to check out any sticks you would like to offer. I'm not really looking for Ficcare/fakkare type clips because I haven't gotten the two fakkares I have to hold very well in my hair.

My budget is in the under $20 range, so TTs and things like that are out of my league :lol:.

My bun is pretty bulky, so 5" FPL is most versatile (a 5 1/2" or 6" stick works great too), though a 4" - 4 1/2" FPL fork does work well in a center-held bun (which is mostly what I do anyway).

These might not be the style you are looking for, but I figured it's worth showing you anyway. I have these super pretty sticks that DweamGoil made for me for my first swap. I just don't reach for them, a single doesn't hold my hair, and I prefer smaller double sticks. They are coated in something that makes them shiny and silky smooth, and the topper is so pretty. I can take pictures in daylight if you want to.

I have a flexi-8 that I think is XL. The stick thing is 5 3/8" long. It's silver toned with a Celtic cross in the center, and some of the beads are black. Hey! First thing I thought of when I saw your post is this stick (https://www.etsy.com/il-en/listing/95533580/hairstick-dusky-rose-in-art-glass-on-a?ref=shop_home_active_27) from Aliarose, she is the queen of shiny hairtoys :queen: It's not a fork I'm sorry but all her sticks are 7"+ and very sturdy.

PixieP your sticks actually arrived last week, but being the flakeoid I am I keep forgetting to post. I did not, however, forget to take action shots; I got one that day and one yesterday. Unfortunately today, when I finally remembered to upload them, I found that someone had broken the SD card adapter, so the pictures are trapped on my camera :-(. I could get them off with some fenagling (yeah I have no clue how to spell that, lol) probably involving another computer, but at half-past midnight, I'm not farting with it right now...

Just rest assured that they are being worn and appreciated, and the length is perfect :).

Physicschick the Flexi you sent me is also being appreciated, by more than just me :D. The other day I was wearing it at work and a customer said "that's a cool hair bun!" :cool:
