Happy New Year to me. I think I finally have an actual ponytail. Not a few stubbly bits gathered into an elastic band.

And for the very first time in my life I managed a braid. It's very sloppy but it's my first one. And it will improve with practice.

No specific goal length, no. I've never had long hair before so this is entirely new to me.

I want a ponytail. Done, but I want all the hair in it, including the front, which requires a little more length than this.

I want a proper braid. Which means I'm going to have to practice, and additional length will be quite helpful.

A French twist was actually one of my original goals. And while not yet there, that's coming...probably this year. No trim 2018 is underway.

Congratulations! It looks great! My husband used to have his grown out long enough for a ponytail. I think they're very classy.
