Getting fragrance OUT of hair?

I recently clarified with Neutrogena’s anti residue shampoo. I’m normally fragrance free because most fragrances make me itch if they get on my skin. I got lucky, no exceptional itchiness, but dear god does it stiiiink. Even my new scented detangler isn’t masking it sufficiently, but that might be because I only applied the detangler from the shoulders down to keep it off my skin.

Would another wash with my normal fragrance free stuff be enough or am I going to have to suck it up till it dissipates? This is so gross. I should have gotten Suave clarifying, at least that one doesn’t have unpleasant fragrance.

Another wash with your normal stuff 'should' remove it.

I cannot recall when then smell dissipated; I know I didn't wash it again until I was due....so it must have faded.
Since then I switched to Joico.... which has it's own smell....but it doesn't stay once my hair conditioned/rinsed.
