On the tin!
I have very porous hair but I can’t figure out how to maintain it at all. I have to moisturize it every day and sometimes multiple times a day if I want it to not get dry and awful. It’s easy to make it moisturized but it leaves as quickly as it comes. I’ve tried Shea Butter, castor oil, coconut oil, and maybe a few others but it doesn’t work for me as a sealant.
i really need some tips.

Hey! My hair is also porous, especially now in the winter. Right now I use coconut oil but feel that it does not help 100%.
I also need tips!

When my hair was highly porous (due to heavy damage), I left it be until I could grow my hair back out. But of course that isn't an option for you. :(
I do know Shea Moisture has a special line for it, but have no clue whether or not something like that is *actually* effective and worth spending the cash on.
Maybe try baby oil (you need a tiiiny bit of it), like a few drops will do!
Other than that, I have no easy solutions.

Well, looks like we’re going to have to work this out together.
What doesn’t work, at least for me, is a lot of the “moisturising” techniques intended for normal or low porosity hair. Humectants are the actual worst - the idea is that they will move water from the outside of the hair to the inside, whereas for my hair, they do the opposite (presumably due to lack of structural integrity). So panthenol, honey, glycerin etc leave my hair super dry, frizzy and tangly. I’ve had most luck with silicones, and do WCC with a pre-poo oiling. I was playing with LOC, but my hair is too fine I think.
ACV rinses seem to help with frizz more than anything else ever has, and I’m on the hunt for a mister bottle, since coconut oil helps a little with moisture retention, but only on damp hair.

I have F hair too but lots of it, like you. If there's something up with LOC/LCO, post it there (see signature for link) and we'll surely be able to work it out for you! :D

Don't forget to do cold water dunks to hair after washing it to help seal it closed I do mine with vinegar/cold water. Also leave ins/loc is good for porous hair to keep moisture in.
