Three years today!

Hi, all! It's been a while since I've posted...Life got a little crazy for a while, with my brother being hospitalized and very nearly dying. I am SO deeply thankful to still have him here to visit with as the year comes to an end! Just a few weeks ago, it looked like that would not be the case!

Three years ago today I had my hair cut and donated it for the second time. The first time I donated 19", then I donated 15" the second time. I had *intended* to donate 12", but the hair stylist got a little carried away with the scissors! I ended up with a chin-length bob that I couldn't even put into a ponytail!:

For the first two years, I faithfully had trims every three months, and then at one point had about 5" cut due to damage. Enter The Long Hair Community and I no longer do regular trims "just because"...and I haven't had to have a big trim due to damage since having learned so much here! I do want to get a SMALL trim to even my hemline....but it's so nice to have semi-long hair again after having felt like a sheep that had been shorn!

Oh, for sure! Things like that put everything so clearly into perspective! I lost my dad a year ago - almost to the day that my brother nearly died. And my brother was in the hospital room right next to the one my dad had been in. I'm incredibly thankful to still have my brother here! He's one of my best friends in the world.
