I received one of these for Christmas, unexpectedly, and would like to hear your experiences of using one. It says you can use it on wet or dry hair. "Unique, flexible bristles detangle for easy styling. Use on wet or dry hair, child (and mom) friendly, recommended for all hair types. No more tugging or pulling, reduce breakage and split ends."
It has long and short bendy bristles similar to a Tangle Teaser.
Does anyone have one and recommend it - or not? Is it similar to a Wet Brush?
Is it rough on your hair and does it give you breakage and split ends?
I would like to hear of others' experiences before trying it
Opinions, please :)

I've never heard of a brush like this before, TBH. But like me and my "wet brush" copy, I just tried it one time and was pleasantly surprised.
There has to be someone here who has used it before, right. So I hope you get some great feedback! :)

I hope so too! Merry Christmas, Lapushka! DH is upstairs in bed sick today with a cold so it's just me here holding the fort and wondering whether I should cook what I have prepared, he has little appetite and it doesn't feel very Christmassy right now. I have the radio on for company and am watching old movies on YouTube.

I think it's OK to cook; he might feel different in a few hours, and if it's just a cold, he should be able to eat; well, normally, if he feels like it of course, but at least *something* needs to be in the stomach. :flower:

You're right, I will cook :) I'm sure he will get up and have something in an hour or two. I will make sure he has something.
He did get up this morning and had breakfast and opened his present, then went back to bed, so he has eaten today. I have food in the oven now :)

Thank you! :) DH got up, had a little meat and potato and now is watching a movie and eating Ice cream - he says ice cream is good medicine for colds :p
You enjoy your evening too :D :flower:

We had a nice evening last night, hope you did too. I'm glad he felt a little better.
Tried your brush yet? ;)

Yes, I tried it last night, it worked very well. I was very very careful using it, didn't want to risk breaking any hair. I'll give it a good trial and see how I like it :) it really does a good scalp massage too.

That's good to know! I like my wet brush better than my WT comb because it does not tug or pull whatsoever, and that is quite a bit of mechanical wear and tear saved right there.

It is nothing like the wet brush and looks more in line with a TT .....or even a Michel Mercier https://www.amazon.com/Michel-Mercier-Detangler-Detangling-Brush/dp/B0087I6790
(both were harsh on my hair)
I much prefer the vented wet brush to the paddle versions; can be used on wet or dry hair, and it is feather-light and flexible.

Good luck with it your gift; hope you like it!

I tried it again this evening and it glided through my hair like a hot knife through butter! Tomorrow is wash day so I'll try it on damp hair then.
The friend who gave it to me bought it in the UK, she has one herself and loves it, her hair is APL. To be honest, I am rather looking forward to using it again.

Sounds good. I hope it works on damp hair just as well. :)

It does! I just used it to detangle after washing :) My one complaint about it would be that I don't like the shape of the handle much, it makes it easy to drop it.
