Henna/indigo ratio

What would be a good ratio of henna/indigo to get a chocolate brown color? I currently have light brown henna with splat midnight ruby(veggie dye) over it.

Definitely strand test, but I'd start with around 50/50 or maybe 75% henna/25% indigo.

I also think about 75/25. But I'd collect shed hair for a couple weeks so you have nice size balls of hair to test on. Test 50/50, like Anje said, but I think 75/25 should do it (don't just trust us and experiment on your head). Strand test!!! For sure. Please!

I do 50/50 but I have been doing it for a couple of years now also. Did strand test first, was worried 75/25 would be too dark.

Good luck! Keep us posted. I'm not sure whether the 50/50 is enough on such dark ruby hair, or that you in fact need the 75/25.
