Hi everyone! I've been struggling with my hair for a while so I thought I'd join this forum for help and advice :)
I've been dying my hair since the age of 12 and my first colour was black (which was a terrible choice as it's a pain to get out once it's in). At this time it was about down to my mid back but I straightened it frequently and it had become quite damaged. One day (when I was 13) I made a very impulsive decision to cut it into a bob at home which went VERY badly. This meant I was forced to cut it into a pixie. Once it grew out a bit (about just above my shoulders) I bleached it (from black) and it basically fried my hair. so, because it seemed like the easiest thing to do, I cut all the blonde off and had a very short pixie(around the time I was nearly 14). I then left it to grow out for aageeess and tomorrow actually marks two years of growth(it is now at just below collarbone length). While it was growing out I had been going between black and blonde frequently so the majority of it is mega damaged but around june I decided to let my healthy natural colour/roots grow out and have since left it alone. I'm just wondering what would be the best tactic to grow out the natural colour and also get some length? Thanks. :)

I should also mention that my hair is naturally curly but the damage has ruined the curl pattern :( so right now my hair is mostly wavy and has some bits that are almost completely straight. I'm hoping to get my curls back in the process.

Welcome to the forum! :)

If you want to have some support there's the dye/bleach grow out thread around here... somewhere. I can't find it right now, otherwise I would link it, but I'm sure someone else will do that for you.

Are you following a method for your curls/waves? Like the Curly Girl method, or so?

Hi and welcome. Not sure if this is the one Lapushka means but this thread may be helpful for you either way! It's going to take some time but you can get your natural hair back. I'm sure you'll find lots of tips and support here. http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=51155&page=1027
