Been a long time :)
For a quick update: I dont longer wish to have super long hair, i just love having medium length even shorter hair. I keep my hair mostly healthy with all the good stuff i learned from here but with a very easygoing routine. Wash (without sulfates), condition and let it be for one or two weeks.
I am 32 years and still dont have a single white hair! Right now my obsession is Exercise and as such my hair is mostly a pain that get's in the way :p

I've been lurking for days now looking for an answer regarding Katam and light brown color, i live in Europe so i was able to buy it online from an Italian supplier. I also bought cassia and henna (Rajasthani). Nothing else. The supplier told me the difference between katam and indigo is that katam is warmer (she said it deliver purple hue) and indigo cooler (bluer hue). ( I DONT WANT PURPLISH .. but i've seen in darker shades yes it looks a bit pink/purple but in lighter it is a warm nice brown).

STARTING COLOR:
dark warm blonde/ light brown from roots to ears
medium blond from ears to a bit below shoulders (this was achieved professionally with a peroxide color that has been done months ago, the color has settled into a nice neutral blond ..but ... i get BORED with blond, my natural hair color is so much better so stupid me).

LOOKING FOR:
giving a boost to my length and ends with a nice dark blond/light brown (similar to natural color)

PLAN:
90% cassia
5% henna
5% katam
+ conditioner

leave for 5 min at the ends and 1 min at the roots (conservative YES! ); Repeat if necessary

I am having some trouble figuring out if (and this is where i need help) :

- Should i let henna dye release before or just put it straight away to avoid much red ?? (i dont want red, just warm light brown)
- Anyone have any other recipe for this color im looking for?

THANK YOU all so much,
Good to be here after a while ;)
