Hello LHC!

I have spent many hours lurking through this wonderful forum and getting lots of new tips and advice.

A bit of background on my current hair situation: Last July (2016) I went to the hair dresser with my shoulder length hair for a trim and came out a bob and many annoying layers!!! :violin: Fast forward to a year and four months later and my hair is somewhere between shoulder and arm pit length. It's noticeably longer at the back and the layers are wispy at the ends and stick out. I haven't cut or trimmed once since the big chop but am very tempted to since the layers are so annoying. If anyone has any tips on growing out/taming annoying layers I would love to hear them!

I have am very excited to start my long hair journey with you :) Here are some pics of my hair journey below

Hello & welcome. :)

I don't think your hair looks bad. You may think those layers are annoying, but it doesn't show at all that they are, so that's one thing. I would just keep on growing. Remember this stage is an awkward stage for a lot of people so there is that urge to cut and "fix" whatever is ailing. Don't do it. Just keep growing. :flower:

It looks amazing. Nice and shiny, lovely color. Yep, all good!

Welcome ~ what great progress! :)

Yup layers can be a pain...you can either micro trim them out, or do little chops and remain at a length you can endure until they are gone.

I micro-trimmed and then chopped the rest when I was @ BSL...starting out from a layered chin length bob.

Happy growing :cheer:
