I'm thinking it'll be my best defense against all the rollercoasters I'll be riding in a month :D
But I've never done one of those before, and was hoping to find some good guides so I can know what I'm doing by the time I actually get to go to an amusement park.
Thanks team <3

I believe this is the tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3J9aGjX_tc) I learned from myself, a dutch lace crown braid (I've still not got the hang of proper dutch braiding for a crown braid, adding to both sides just messes me up). However, with your length, you may be better off doing milkmaid braids (twin english braids flopped over the top of the head) secured with something like spin pins, or you may want to follow Torrin Paige's faux crown braid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1P7MiC_GvHY) or hair taping (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlwnlfDYzk8) tutorials instead. You've got some time to find the technique you like the best that will hold it all in place, at least. Good luck!

well I can't crown braid because I have back pains. a french braid is already the fire test for me. that's why I advice to wait to reach classic or so and do the timoshenko crown. <3

I have yet to be able to do this successfully on my own hair (still practicing), but I've managed to get it to work on other people's hair.

The Part-less Crown Braid (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=78600&highlight=crown+braid+tutorial) (link goes to another thread here on LHC with a written tutorial with photos).

I've found with braiding techniques that it's easier for me to learn the basics practicing on someone else's hair before trying it on my own head. (YMMV, of course, but if you know anyone with long hair who'd let you practice styling on their hair, it might be worth a try.)

I hope that helps! :flower:

I second the two braids brought around the head and pinned. I love rocking a crown braid but I cannot do it on myself for the life of me. If you have a nice friend or family member (actually, my wife does mine for me, she's getting REALLY good at it), that might work for you?

But the two braids brought around looks just as good, especially from the front, in my opinion! (The back doesn't look quite as neat.)
