Hey ! I have Just discovered this low shampoo. It promises to be 3 in 1 - shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. Also it is sulfate free! As I am co washer I am really excited to try this. Do you have any experience?

Hi! I’m currently using the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil for Dry Hair Low Shampoo. I quite like it, I feel that it cleans better than using a normal conditioner for washing. It does contain amodimethicone, but I have no problems with buildup. I need at least 5 pumps for hop-lemgth, ii hair, so it’s not very economical. I find that I can use it on its own, without a rinse-out conditioner, but I do use a leave-in. If I were to skip the leave in, I would definitely prefer to use a rinse-out conditioner together with the shampoo. I’m not a huge fan of the slippiness from this shampoo, but it isn’t filmy or greaay. It weighs down my waves a little, but nothing too bad. I haven’t noticed any change in frizziness though.

Elsève? That can only be Belgium? France? Thereabouts. I think in The Netherlands this line is called Elvive and in the UK as well.

Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland... there are many countries where Elseve is called Elseve.

Does it make a foam at all? I looked at the ingredients list and there aren't any surfactants, but given that you find it cleans better than regular conditioner, I'm guessing there is something?

( Actually I find it kinda strange they'd put straight up conditioner-ish cowash on conservative haircare markets such as here in Slovakia :D But who knows)

I thought about trying the red/white one, and using it up as regular conditioner if it's no good as shampoo.

The gold one, which I use, contains Coco-Betaine, Trideceth-6, and Cetrimonium Chloride. These are all (non-sulfate) surfactants. For the first wash, there is no foam. But if I rinse and repeat, there is a tiiiiiiiiiny bit of foam.

I wonder why it is. Probably pronounciation or something? I think Elvive might be easier to pronounce for some languages than Elséve?

I never know how to pronounce Cien :D

Yes probably that reason! :)

I just say "seen" in Dutch. Odd brand, isn't it. I mean not for their products (they're great), but the name; golly. LOL

Sorry, missed your reply :o ! Thank you so much!:flower:
If it has coco-betaine at least, it might work for me too.

I just purchased the L'Oreal Elseve Extraordinary Oil Botanical Oil Cleansing Cream. It looks promising, and has no cones or sulfates. Wil review it when I’ve used it for a week. (I still have to finish my current bottle of shampoo first!)

Co-washing isn’t ideal for my hair, I feel like my hair is too light? Like any little residue shows. So I’m intrigued to read that you find the low shampoo more cleansing than regular conditioners!

I had a smt in my hair and used this shampoo to help wash it out. I also had oiled my hair prior to smt, so this shampoo had quite a job to do. My hair is soft, clean and not stripped at all. I could lightly detangle with this in too, so I am happy.
I don't know if it was more cleansing. My texture tends to require a good bit of moisture which the shampoo provided. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful.
