3 Years on LHC

This month marks my third year on LHC, I think most people know my hair story but I'll paraphrase it and post some pics from this year anyway :).

So this is the hair length I had when I vowed to grow my hair out. I was 14 here and for most of my life I had hair between pixie cut length and collarbone length. I cut it regularly because I got bored often.

It was about 19 or 18 inches I think. It was the Fall of 2013, before I bleached my hair. ( And ruined it, which caused many big chops and slowed down my hair journey tremendously.)

Instead of showing a whole bunch of pics I'm just going to do some before and afters :)

So these are before and afters of my hair texture, the bleach took away all my curls but they've been steadily coming back and getting healthier every year.

Here is the length I've gained in the past year:

This my typical shrinkage, it goes from a few inches below boob length, to belly button length.

Right now my hair stretched out is 33.5 inches, and I'm hoping for hip length (straight) by Christmas.
Curly hair is 31 inches, which is my longest length so far.
I am 29 months heat and bleach free. :D

I know the hemline isn't perfect but it doesn't really bother me, my hair has a mind of it's own most days. Thanks for reading!

Meteor aw thank you I’m glad you like it :) so I haven’t measured my hair thickness in like 2 years, and at the time it was 3”, but I just measured it now and it’s a 4” so I think that makes me a iii.

Thank you all so much for your comments, I'm really blown away by all your responses. You guys are too lovely :flower: The first year or two of my journey was definitely a struggle trying to maintain heavily damaged hair.

raemarthe Is there any bleach left in your hair or is it all chopped out?
Dendra, I think maybe a little under half of my hair is virgin, I think the new grow goes past APL but I'm not entirely sure. My hair still has some curls that are a bit fried so I'm looking forward to when the bleach makes it's way all the way out.
