After several days of trying to make myself a Dutch or reverse braid, after reading carefully the instructions in dreamweaverbraiding, but without success, I found this site and I really like it:

http://www.wannaseehow.com/culture/rfrench.html

I read the instructions and I COULD MAKE A DUTCH BRAID!!!!!!!!!!

It is not that complicated as I thought. I hope other newbies can learn with these instrucions. Cheers.

That's great news! I have also found that not all instructions are equal: You'll just have to find the instruction written by person whose brains are wired similar way to your own :)

Thank you for this link. I can french-braid quite well and have already tried to do the dutch braid at least a dozen times with different instructions.

Maybe this is the one to bring my success at last!

Although I've always understood how to create this braid and the french braid, I found watching the technique that was demonstrated in the video as being helpful. Anytime I watch another person's handhold it helps me improve my technique.
