It's my Seven-versary! 7 Years of growing.

Can hardly believe it, but it's been 7 years since I joined up here on LHC!
I've come a long ways in my hair journey in those years. I've grown out dye damage, cut it all off, dabbled in henna and cassia, had purple hair, grown my bangs out, figured out what my hair likes and doesn't, acquired a decent sized hair accessory collection, and I'm just now finally accepting my hair type more - that takes time! lol.
Not only all of that, but I've also made a real life friend in Seeshami and recently even met some of our other LHC'ers in the form of Truepeacenik, DaveDecker and Gossamer!
I'm glad that 7 years ago I stopped lurking and joined in on the craziness here. =)
So thank you LHC for all you've given and all the growth. *hehe*

Photo time!

So, this is just about the earliest photo I can find of my hair when I started growing it out. It was about 3 months after I started letting it just grow, one of my Dad's last requests before he passed away 3 months earlier. This is Oct of 2008. So, I grew and went back to dye for a while and trimmed a bit more in the two years before I joined here.

And here is today - Sorry my hair is gross, I totally forgot about today and didn't wash my hair for pics. So this is some 3 day since washed, damp bun crinkled, meh hair. lol. And I had to leave the photo bomb by the dog in the Cone of shame because I thought it was funny. You totally can't tell because my ends are soooooo thinned out, but according to Seeshami I'm 4-5" from ankle! Also, having to balance my camera on a chair and point it upwards, doesn't make for flattering photos. lol

Any time someone I know claims their hair isn't thick enough to grow long, I tell them that is totally untrue and I have a great model to refer them to. Someone with really long hair that doesn't need a lot of thickness about, masking its length. You, and your glorious hair :)

(and, well, your hairtoys for sale are the reason I finally stopped lurking myself and joined on board, so thank you for that, too. I have one of them in my hair today in fact!)

Congratulations on your anniversary! I've also joined the LHC 7 years ago too!:) I started out with a chin length bob, and now I am between MBL and WL!!! I have chemically relaxed hair, and within about 2 weeks or so from now I'm planning on doing my relaxer treatment, and I have a good feeling that I will have reached WL at that time!!! I am so excited about it!:)

this is so amazing and inspiring, 7 years is a long journey :o personally for me, my new years resolution in 2015 was to grow out my hair long, and here i am, still growing strong!!
