My very first 4-strand braid :D

The 4 Strand Braid
As you are looking at the hank, the four strands are:
far left, middle left, middle right, far right

1. Far right over middle right.
2. Far left under middle left.
3. Middle left over middle right.
Repeat.


Using those instructions from the article section I made this:

I have a very long tassel hanging under it now, as I didn't have enough length to properly hold on to the strands anymore :lol:



To add: start with step 3, you will avoid that part in the center of your head:

Heyy I did that braid recently too! Looks good! =) Eventually it'll come very natural to you, and you'll be able to do it without thinking about what to do next (you'll do 1+2 simultaneously).

Can you do any other braids aside from 3 and 4 strand yet? =)

that looks good for a first attempt! no matter how many times i try this, i get it wrong, so i cheat and do three little braids and braid them together!

Nope, I could only do the three strand, I will need to practice more on the 4 before moving up ;)

It is a flat braid. Box braids are a different technique
