Has anyone bought off this etsy yet and forgotten to leave feedback? :P

I like a lot of their things. I am thinking about ordering my first bulk of hair sticks. I have never bought myself any because buns tend to give me headaches but I wouldnt mind improving my collection since I own maybe 7 hair sticks and half arent my style so they never get worn.
What do you guys think?

Anyone bought from here before?
Or have any thoughts about this new shop?

Ooooh, these are the kind of things we get at our markets from Balinese sellers. I find them very small (will not cope with loads of hair), light and a bit flimsy, so have never bought any. And I'm leery of when prongs on forks head towards one another (like the first fork linked to) for fear of bun-spit (they boing out as if they were spring-loaded). But the 3 others linked to look okay, although the toppers may be a bit cumbersome and throw the balance of the fork out?

Those are very typical and all over Etsy. They are like mass-made and you can get these from a lot of sellers (what was that one seller called I bought from in the beginning again?) - gee I can't remember. They are *short* though, either really short or really long. Good to start with, IMMHO.

I have seen similar things from both etsy, eBay and amazon. They seem to be mass produced in Bali, Indonesia and Thailand at least. I bought a couple of 2-prong wooden forks from this seller last year: https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/Srisedana they were very long, very thin (wouldn't hold a lot of hair) and the points were sharp! But the sticks would probably be better than the forks.

Their listings look so similar to BaliBone2013, a previous Etsy seller.
I would go with the second listing, the fork with longer prongs, the other ones look too small.

I got a fork from this seller just now. We'll see how it pans out. I am lucky as I have a small head so don't need things to be huge

Yeah! I tried to see if I could find these forks on eBay for cheaper. But no luck. It looks to me that this seller is the one with these forks at the moment. Some I've seen at other shops but a few I was interested in I could find anywhere else! I'm fine and my bun circumference is very small. I can fit a 3-4" fork easily so size isn't a problem, for me at least.

Yeah, some of the stuff looks identical to another Indonesian seller. In terms of pricing, yes, it is very affordable. But I am looking at things like that octopus carving ($16). If someone hand carved that, it would take much more than 2 hours. So either it is not handmade, or someone is making far less than minimum wage to produce it.

Yeah, probably one or the other. But at this point those things aren't really a concern to me as I do not wear buns or sticks/forks too often, spending 30$ on a fork isn't in the cards for me nor does it seem logical since I am not a hair toy addict. Could also say the same about the hair products we buy from companies like Loreal etc etc. Its all produced the same way.

Plus it is not correct to compare minimum wage in the US to minimum wage in Indonesia.

Was that towards me??????

The ingredients needed to make products that are then "put together" here in the US by brands like LOreal and pantene, arent ethetically gathered. Is what I mean.
LOreal has been exposed years ago for using child labor to collect the ingredients used in some of their make up and hair products too. *shrug*
Anyway - I cant afford a 20-30$ hair stick. So for me, getting something like this is the logical option. However, I probably wont just because I would rather spend that cash on my next meal. LOL 9$ can get me lunch at work for 2 days. .___. Just was curious about the hair sticks.
I cant imagine these kind of shops are profitable, from previous comments it looks like similar shops open and leave just as quickly. So I doubt this shop will remain open very long either.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/524546298/2-prongs-owl-wooden-hair-sticks-hair-pin?ref=shop_home_active_91 I have a fork like this one and it is really cute. I shorted the prongs a bit. Now they aren't sharp and it is much better. I do love the little guy. He is just so cute. I also have the oak leaves with acorns and the butterfly. They are not perfect but they are cheap.
