I'm interested in getting bangs/fringe when it gets cooler out. I am worried about what they will look like when I grow them out. So if you had bangs I am asking for you to post pictures of them and what they look like growing out. If you can't post pictures then your advice and input would be appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day!😁

ive had straight bangs for about 8 years. I have super super fine type 2 hair that I blow dry straight. My bangs have not 1...but 2!!! cowlicks. I have to blow dry my bangs with a round brush when they are wet other wise they will NOT obey me at all lol. and my cowlicks split them apart so i have to hair spray them to stay in place all day.

I love the first picture especially, it looks very anime. I also have bangs, and use a round brush attachment on my hairdryer and hairspray. Kindred spirits :)

I love my bangs! I have an extra long piece on one side that adds a little bit extra interest and helps frame my face. I think bangs are an excellent way to avoid having the 'scraped-back hair' look that can easily happen when you have long hair. Here is a picture of my bangs~

I've been thinking about this recently and wondering whether to cut mine back in. I love the breeze on my forehead though!

By the way both of you look great with your bangs :toast:

I'm excited to see the responses to this thread. I've never had long hair + bangs before, but when I cut my hair short, I added sideswept bangs. I've learned that my face really does look better with bangs.

I'm working on growing out my bangs for the first time since the 7th grade, I've tried before but always ended up re cutting them (I hate my forehead). This time I am pretty determined though, even though I love bangs I really want to try out not having them. Anyways here are a few pictures of my growing out process. My starting point was short bettie bangs and now my bangs are about chin length.

(Sorry if the pictures are kind of big)

I have no idea why you dislike your forehead or why you would hide it with bangs. I really like the last pic - there's a balance there that I think is missing with the shorter bangs.

Thanks, I just really dislike that my hair line goes back pretty far at my temples, to the point were it looks like I am starting to bald. Luckily I am kind of able to hide it if I style my hair just right.

I have the same problem. There are thin spots and very fine hairs which combined are unflattering. Committing my hair straight back for a ponytail makes me look like I'm balding.

I would like to wear my hair up more often than I do (never:blushing:). However, I avoid doing so, because I don't enjoy how my face looks without any hair on it. I have been thinking about getting bangs, so I'm currently trying to find some pictures to convince me! :blossom:
